Sanjay Patel is a technology executive, thought leader, and investor with over two decades of experience working with startups and mature companies. His work spans multiple industries including healthcare, finance, software, retail and education. 

Sanjay specializes in helping businesses identify and capitalize on the opportunities that emerge with seismic shifts in technology. He’s currently the CTO of Mediflix, a healthcare startup that is revolutionizing the way consumers access medical information.

Sanjay is also the founder of Perpetuating, an award-winning tech innovation company that develops innovative AI and mobile app solutions for Fortune 500 brands.   

Over the course of his career, Sanjay has developed expertise in turnaround change management, lean capabilities, and agile practices. These frameworks have helped him successfully grow his own businesses and his clients’ organizations from start-ups to maturity. 

An entrepreneur at heart, Sanjay supports promising start-ups as an angel investor through his work with Maine Angels. He’s particularly proud of the funding that’s empowering Circa, a rent management platform that helps tenants secure housing stability. 

GIVING BACK  

Sanjay has also served on multiple boards, including the Alumni Advisory Board at his alma mater Carnegie Mellon, where he played a role in the successful completion of a $1B capital campaign. He’s currently on the Board of Directors at The Ecology School, which has constructed the first “living building” in Maine.

Sanjay’s commitment to education includes serving as a mentor to emerging entrepreneurs at the Roux Institute. As a philanthropist, Sanjay seeks to increase access to educational opportunities. He established a legacy scholarship at Carnegie Mellon, supports Portland Community Squash, and funds technology improvements at a rural school in India that was founded by his family.

LOCATION

Sanjay typically works in a hybrid setting. He splits the bulk of his time between New York and Maine, and travels as needed to meet clients where they are.
